Absences/Tardies
Our day begins promptly at 7:45 am and ends at 2:05pm. Students may enter the classroom beginning at 7:15. It is best to have your child arrive to school with early to ensure your child having enough time to get into class, unpack for the day, and feel prepared. However, tardies are not given until 7:45.
When your child is absent, please send a note stating the reason for the absence when he/she returns. If no note is sent in, the absence will be marked as unexcused.
*Please note our schedule this year. Enhancements start promptly at 8:00am. If students are tardy they may feel rushed and unprepared for the day.

Transportation
Please let me know through a note or email if your child will have a change in transportation for the day. Please include the date, how the child will get home, and your signature. If this changes in the middle of the day, please e-mail me as soon as possible or call the school and let the office know. NO TRANSPORTATION CHANGES AFTER 1:30PM. I am not allowed to send a child home on the bus, with a friend, or by car if that is not the “typical” way you send them home. WE WILL NOT TAKE A CHILD’S WORD REGARDING CHANGES IN TRANSPORTATION AND/OR DESTINATION.
Classroom Expectations/Behavior Plan
Ogden Elementary wants to ensure student's success and safety through the 7 Habits of Happy Kids and Stan's plan to be a radical ray; Respectful, Safe, Responsible, and Kind. In your child’s classroom, a positive behavior management program called the clip chart is used. Each child has a clip that starts on ready to learn, (or green). The student has the chance to move their clip up or down throughout the day depending upon the choices that they make. If a clip is moved up, it can be moved down if behavior worsens, and visa versa, if the clip is moved down, it can be moved up if the behavior improves. At the end of each day, the clip chart is reset for a fresh start the next day.
